My love for iPhones, in general, is known by everyone who knows me personally and by writing this post, now the whole world knows about it. iPhones are great. What makes them even better is the whole software platform, iOS and the Appstore.
My first iPhone was the iPhone 3G. At that time they were not released in India and I bought an imported phone. Shopkeepers used to jailbreak those so that we can use them here in India.
Anyways, after that, I have used each and every model of iPhone – 4, 4S, 5, 5S, 5C, SE, 6, 6S, 6S Plus, 7, 7 Plus, 8, 8 Plus, X, XS, 11, 11 Pro. Yes literally all of them except the XS Max and 11 Pro Max as they are huge and heavy. But my all-time favourite phone is still iPhone SE and the iPhone 7. But why? Let me explain.
First, let me tell you straight forward. My all-time favourite phone has been Samsung Galaxy S II and the iPhone SE. They well considerably small, powerful and lightweight. But those phones are kind of ancient now.
This is where the iPhone 7 comes in. It is of good manageable size, if fairly lightweight, powerful, has a good camera, NOT made of all glass and so slim.
I don’t know why this whole trend of heavy, huge and all-glass body came into being. I am using iPhone XS now. Though I like it a lot because of the fact that I prefer iOS and the whole ecosystem. But it is still fragile enough, big and heavy.
I actually left 11 Pro because it is even heavier than this one. If the rumoured iPhone SE 2/iPhone 9 is launched and it will be smaller and lighter than this then I will surely get that one instead.
One more thing I like about this iPhone 7 is the fingerprint scanner. I agree that faceID is so much better and convenient in the newer iPhones, I mean you just have to look at your phone and that’s about it. But in several situations, the touch ID is way better. Like at these times when people are wearing face masks to avoid contact with droplets etc due to coronavirus.
Also while you are on a bike or driving a car etc and you need to use your phone, which you shouldn’t, then a touch ID phone is much better.
The screen is also big enough to do everything you normally do on your phone. Watching videos, doing social networking, writing emails, WhatsApp, etc, everything can be done easily.
So these are actually my main reasons to like the iPhone 7. iPhone 8 is better than the 7, I agree, but again the 7 is slimmer and lighter than the 8.
I am looking forward, eagerly, for the launch of the next iPhone with a home button. If it will be heavier than the 7 then also I will be buying it for sure.
Which is your favourite phone? Let’s talk about it in the comments below.
