One of the best songs of 2019 was undoubtedly Teri Mitti from the Kesari, starring Akshay Kumar in the lead role. The song brought tears to the eyes of everyone who heard it. It also topped the charts all through the year.
The song was a fantastic ode to the nation and the golden soil of India as a whole. But unfortunately, none of the award functions gave any award to the lyrics. This has made the writer, Manoj Muntashir, rather unhappy.
Manoj says that the lyrics of this particular song are the finest that he can ever pen down and no matter how hard he tries he will never be able to compose such great poetry in his lifetime. Since nobody acknowledged the song and its lyrics at any of the award ceremonies, he has decided to quit and he will make sure that no matter what he will never ever visit any of these award functions in his life.
He wrote that the awards failed to honor the words that made millions of Indians cry and care for the motherland, and it would be a great disrespect to his art if he continued caring for them.
